Save the whales -- shoot a seagull

The BBC reports, with slideshow:

Whales off the coast of Argentina have acquired a new enemy - seagulls. The gulls have learned to feed on the whales by landing on their backs and just pecking away the skin and blubber. . . .

* Europeans in Africa saw hyenas slinking away from lions at a kill, and assumed the kill to be the lions' for many years. It was not for decades that it became known that the kills were accomplished by the night-hunting hyenas, then appropriated by the lions around dawn.
