No public smoking -- in France
So much for plus c’est la même chose:
France is to ban smoking in all public places from next February, the prime minister has announced. From the BBC.Cafes, nightclubs and restaurants are to be given until January 2008 to adapt, said Dominique de Villepin.

"Passive smoking kills about 13 people a day in France, Mr de Villepin said..."
I do wonder where he got that figure, and more especially on what basis it was developed.
And I do not doubt that over 70% support the ban. I also do not doubt that 70% of the people in France - or the US - would support a ban on eating locusts.
