Diesel wins at Le Mans
Read about it here.
Diesel engines are more and more in the news. There are a few fellows locally who run their Mercedes diesels on old cooking oil that Chinese restaurants are happy to get rid of. The idea of having an around-the-town car that uses free fuel is pretty intriguing. . .

One of the problems with Diesel engines getting traction in the U.S. car market is the Environmental Protection Agency.
For example, the Jeep Liberty, will drop the Diesel engine option in 2007 because of new EPA regs.
EPA guys, you're doing a heck of a job. Diesel emmissions will go to zero because Diesel cars will go to zero.
