Providence Athenaeum open house Saturday

Though I haven't posted much about the Athenaeum recently, I've been more involved with "America's Fourth Oldest Library and Providence's Oldest Cultural Institution" lately than ever before.

Any readers who can be in Providence Saturday afternoon should try to drop in at the Athenaeum's open house, which will run from 2 to 7 pm. This will make a nice three-fer, along with the RISD Museum's Free-for-All Saturday from 11 to 4 and Waterfire just down the hill from sunset on. Lots of activities for adults and children alike, and if you are at all bookishly inclined, you will find the Athenaeum a home away from home. Great building, great books, great people.
