Oldest embryos

South African paleontologists said Friday they had identified the world's oldest dinosaur embryos, dating back 190 million years, from a cluster of seven eggs found nearly 30 years ago in a national park.

The discovery of the two embryos — the oldest of any terrestrial vertebrate — enabled scientists for the first time to reconstruct the growth trajectory of a dinosaur from juvenile to adulthood.
