Goldfish surgery

Just heard an NPR story on the boom in fish medicine -- as in hundreds of dollars spent to treat ordinary goldfish. Considering the cheapness of the critters, I wonder if any vets with big loans to pay off might emulate Roald Dahl's Mr. Hoppy. . . .

PS Take a look at the surgery slide show. Maybe I'm not up on the difficulties of ichthyosurgery, but it sure looks like a class-A jury rig to me.

AND here's another money-saving alternative.
