Whitney embezzler pleads guilty

At least she was no spendthrift:

A former employee of the Whitney Museum of American Art pleaded guilty Wednesday to embezzling about $850,000 by voiding valid ticket sales over a 2-year period and pocketing the cash.

Naseem Wahlah, 30, former manager of visitor services, pleaded guilty in Manhattan's state Supreme Court to second-degree grand larceny in exchange for probation and 200 hours of community service. She has returned all the money; investigators recovered $800,000 from her Brooklyn home.

I am Naseem Wahlah’s ex husband we divorced less than a year after her arrest. She has absolute no remorse for her crime whatsoever and never has. Naseem had no concern for the ones closest to her, her family, friends, husband she was driven only to get off. She feels entitled somehow that life owes her. I believe she got away with murder and if given the chance she’ll do it again. I was married to her for five years and lived with her a total of nine all the signs for this were always there I see this now. She has a diabolical mind. I’m not says all this because I’m a jilted ex although I am I say this because this is my honest view, this is what I observed. I was completely misled and wasted many years in love with someone I never really knew.

I, too, do agree with Naseem's ex-husband. I have not seen either of the 2 since attending Pratt Institute with the couple. Even at Pratt Naseem had a dark side. She has a wealthy family and was funneled money throughout the time I knew her while studying there. While at Pratt she would take art supplies from the bookstore, in which she was fired from as well as make up lies to destroy her classmates reputations (not to mention the use of lets say not cigarettes use your imagination it involves a thick rubber band.) Truly, I have no repect for this woman. I cannot believe she got away with stealing close to a million of dollars (and who really knows how much she actually took!) Petty criminals get sent to jail for stealing $50.00 from department stores. I guess the difference is Naseem Wahlah is from money! An urban minority would have been sent away for decades! Be ware of Naseem!
