Chess + boxing = ?

From the Stranger Than Fiction Department:

Is chess too boring for you? Those crafty Dutchies have found a way to finally resolve the impasse in the chess world. Put the players in a boxing ring, let them play for four minutes and then duke 'em up for a round with the gloves.

Um, this chess boxing article is whimsical. Not quite "stranger than fiction"--it IS fiction.

Not at all.. it may sound whimsical at first, but when you really get down to it, you basically combine what is supposed to be two totally polarized extremes in sports (the top mind sport and the top physical sport) into one, something people never thought possible.

What's more, a lot of people showed up to watch and the general consensus was that it was great
