Yet more Concorde auction fever

An international businessman has paid £320,000 for a Concorde nose cone at an auction of spare parts from the supersonic aircraft. . .

The huge nose cone bid - about 10 times more than was expected - was the highlight of the auction of more than 120 spare parts and decommissioned items. . .

The huge winning bid for the nose cone sent proceeds, which are going to charity, way past the £500,000 that auctioneers Bonhams anticipated.

From Ananova; for the French auction a couple of weeks back (where another Concorde nose cone sold for a comparable sum), look here.
