Drinking improves judgement?

In the flood of news, it's always amusing to see what odd juxtapositions pop up. Such as this:

Alcohol may actually lead people to be more cautious in their decisions rather than impulsive, according to a surprise finding by psychologists at Queen's University in Kingston, Ont.
And this:
Drunks broke into isolation ward to see Sars patient: Two Chinese men have been jailed for breaking into a hospital isolation ward to see what a Sars patient looked like.
