A German tourist stabbed an American at a central Philippine beach resort during an argument over military action against Iraq, police said Monday. . .

The two vacationers in Cebu province's Moalboal town got into a heated debate during a drinking session on Friday, with each defending his government's position on the issue of disarming Iraq, police investigator Leopoldo Geraldino said.

[The American] was angered when [the German] allegedly compared U.S. President George W. Bush to Adolf Hitler for advocating the use of force against Iraq. A scuffle ensued and Oesterle stabbed Flynn with a pocket knife, Geraldino said.
