Archer killed by own bow
Douglas Mitchell, 58, near Crieff, Perthshire, suffered serious head injuries while he was handling a bow in his workshop.From Ananova.The Great Britain archery international was taken to hospital after the accident happened at his home in Ochtertyre, but died a few days later.
Police say Mr Mitchell is believed to have been handling a bow when part of the assembly (?) came off and struck him on the head.
Likely a compound bow, and part of a pulley block broke loose.
