Trial by combat declined

A Suffolk motorcyclist who wanted to stage a fight to the death to settle a dispute over an unpaid £25 fine has been fined £200 instead.

Leon Humphreys, 60, of Bury St Edmunds, demanded the right to trial by combat under medieval law after being charged with failing to notify the DVLA that his Suzuki 125 cc was off the road.

Spot the loony.
